Saturn 5-6 April

I just had a look at Saturn with 12 inches of aperture and 470x. The seeing tonight in Oxford is unbelievable, easily the best in the year. Ring system and bands look very clean, with one leading moon and 3 trailing ones (Rhea Tethys Titan and Dione). I should be imaging with the webcam, really.

Pity you did not get an Image or two Themos.

Never mind, you enjoyed the sight of the planet, and going to get the camera may have caused it to cloud over.

Well, you are absolutely right! I set up the EQ6, aligned it with difficulty and now there's high cloud and I can't see Saturn!
