Sharpcap to NINA

Hi All,

At the moment i am using Sharpcap to control focus/imaging etc, but will be looking into NINA.  As i did the sensor analysis testing in Sharpcap to get the best settings for the camera, would i use the same settings from that, or would i need to do similar type of testing in nina?

What settings are you referring to? Like offset, gain, USB traffic, etc?
 

You should probably use the same settings unless you want to change exposure time significantly, then gain may require some adjustments.

it was gain etc, i wasn't sure if i would need to change it being different software, so as i currently use gain 300 (from the sensor analysis in sharpcap), would that have been different in NINA.  Will give it a try and see what happens, when we get some clear sky that is

The settings you want to use won't need changing but when you get to NINA it might be worth using the native driver as sometimes that exposes settings more easily than the ASCOM driver, offset for example.
