Eyepieces for TV85

Recommended Posts

I posted this question over at Cloudy Nights and have some feedback, but I'd be interested to hear opinions of people here too.

Hopefully, I will soon have a TV85 refractor, and although I have some cheap plossls to get me started, I would like to get some good quality wide field eyepieces. The options I'm looking at are Hyperions, Naglers and Ethos. Obviously the TV options are quite a bit more expensive, but the extra AFOV is calling ;). So, has anyone got experience with these EPs and scope?

I have had several recommendations for the TV 3-6 zoom for planetary use, so that's something I'm considering as well.

Finally, is the Hyperion Zoom any good? Obviously it's not got the same widefield s the TV options, but with AFOV ranging from 50-68 degrees, it might make a good general EP to replace plossls if it's got really good optics.

Thanks,

Dave.
