ASTP download blocked

Trying to download ASTAP from sourceforge. Says 4,522 downloads this week, but my PC is blocking the download 'astap_setup.exe ... Could harm your device'. Any ideas why I get the message? I'm assuming it is actually fine but is it wise to ignore the warning?

I get that. Just click on "more info" then "'run anyway" and the installer will run.

If it's something you've just come across and you're not familiar with, then you're right to be wary of the warning.

In this case, it's likely that either the software certificates are not in place or don't match what Windows in looking for. These certificates cost developers money to get and some open source software doesn't have them, hence the warning.
