Not quite steady enough for the 2000D but I had a go anyway , a closer inspection of data and a restack probably needed later.

There was a lot of bright 'crackling' in the large spot ... flare caught in "white" ... ?

Here are the stacked frames cropped in PIPP and saved as an AVI ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LoBL5yRQl4

Thanks ... 🙂

I definitely caught flaring this time , here's the SDO Continuum data showing exactly what I was seeing in preview and capture and the corresponding AIA 304 data ... 😍

Flaring is clearly visible in the penumbra of AR3110. Well done!

Well worth posting on Solarchat!

EDIT: I see you have.

Well worth posting on Solarchat!

My stuff goes on Solarchat before SGL ... 😉

While I'm waiting for the blue to appear I'm going to pop all 700 odd frames I shot through PIPP to see exactly how much I caught ... !

And here's all 550 frames I shot with the 2000D cropped and saved as a video to show just what I caught ... 😃

A good representation of the seeing too ... :happy7:

Luckily I had the presence of mind not to delete all the sets after my selection process as is my usual MO , realised there was something unusual that needed further investigation ... 😉
