...in remote Weardale last Saturday.

Weather forecast was good for ~4 hours so made the effort to get away from my local patch.   This is the result of the only clear spell (10 mins) at the onset of dark...

...composition was somewhat rushed!

Sky 8 x 10s, f2.5, iso2500, single light painted foreground 13s, f3.5, iso1600.  Stacked in Sequator and combined using lighten blend mode in Photoshop.

Wow. That must have been some light to illuminate the whole thing so well, especially as it was a single frame. Looking at the angles it appears you were slightly above it ?

@davew thank you Dave.  Appreciated. 

Light on 100% with longer exposure and  higher iso than usual.  An approach track on a down slope.  Helped reduce converging verticals

Its such a great structure that I wanted it to be the BIG feature in the image.
