mark RD
I just bought a Philips ToUcam PRO II webcam (PCVC 840K) and the adaptor, while I'm waiting for it to arrive I was wondering about the mod that everyone does to them, is it useable unmoded? I assume it will be more sensitive than my Digital camera is used afocal. RD
Jamie
Hi Mark The mod in question is for long exposure images. I have the same cam and have had no probs taking lunar /planetary images. This is what the cam is best for IMHO.Beats afocal imaging hands down mate. geppetto
Congrats on the Toucam 8)You can use it unmodded for planets and the moon and it will give excellent results.Bit of a learning curve but well worth the bother. The mod is for long exposure and the you can image DSO's.The mod is not for the faint hearted, a bit tricky if your not into electronics.Best of luck with it, look forward to seeing your first images with it
