How to change the top of a Berlebach Planet tripod?

I have my EQ6R mounted on top of the Berlebach Planet tripod with the dedicated top. However, I am upgrading mounts and purchased the top for my new mount from Berlebach. Does anyone know how these tops are changed? I can't find any guidance anywhere.

I assume you just un-bolt the three legs and then screw them in to the new top, but I want to know if there are any tips/cautions before I attempt that.

I've changed the head on my Uni-18 a couple of times EQ5 to EQ6 and then back again.

Keep track of the order of the washers and have the tripod horizontal. As the spreader keeps the legs connected it's a bit like changing a nappy on a wriggling baby, but less smelly.
