Sony Handycam has anyone used one for Imaging

I have a Sony Handycam. it has DV out via a firewire lead and in this mode can be used as a webcam.

It connects via a "C" mount adapter into a 1 1/4" nosepiece. I'm sure it captures images at 60fps.

This would be connected to my 16" dob so no tracking.

Anyone used one yet or has any input that would help me.
