Celestron 6se tripod mod

Hi I recently purchased a skywatcher AZ5 head from FLO and a very nice piece of kit to for set up and go.

I did not purchase the tripod as I already have several and I placed it onto an old surveyors tripod it was very firm but tad heavy

I decided to hot bed my Celestron 6se mount and designed a bracket to carry the AZ head as well.

The bracket fits the existing recess and uses the same 3 bolts that secures the 6se telescope to the mount .

It works very well and is really sturdy and quick to set up

Hi I have added the extension post to the AZ5 (also obtained from FLO) this has made a vast difference to  setting my 102F9.8  telescope to vertical the scopes are rock steady on this set up .

This is good way to get more use out of existing kit
