The Splinter Galaxy

This is a deceptively difficult data set--such a simple target, but much more data is needed to clarify the internal details.  As is, its 13 hours (C11Edge native binned).   IThe most challenbging thing for me was to process the galaxy enough so that the data that is there suggests a more complete structure without being forced to fullfill a completness that isn't there.  Its almost like viewing an impressionistic painting from 20 feet away--the imagination fills in the missing details using the skeletal framework of the data that IS present.  The key is not overprocessing the existing data in efforts to "fill in teh gaps".  Its a very elusive lesson to learn.  I will keep tinkering with this data from time to time.
