Recommendations needed - focuser for N208CF Newt

Hi all,

Looking to replace the stock focuser on my 8" Explore Scientific N208CF Newtonian astrograph. I do not wish to drill holes in the OTA if it can be avoided.

Single or double speed is fine. I will be connecting a ZWO EAF auto-focuser to it.

Thanks to all who reply.

Clear skies,
Tommy

I fitted a Baader Steeltrack to my 6" SW 150PDS. The final result is fine, working well with an EAF. Finished job is rock solid.

I did however have to drill holes for mounting and the open nature of the mounting system left nooks and crannies that had to be sealed with self adhesive foam strip. The 6" is not a recommended size for this focuser as it's designed for 8" min. I had to make thicker spacers for mine. While I had the secondary out I took the opportunity to flock my tube, well worth doing btw.
