Can a finder with 90deg diagonal be used as a guide scope?

I have an APM 60mm 90° Finderscope Kit and wanted to understand if this can be used with a guide camera for guiding with PHD2? 

Is the fact that it has an integral 90 deg prism going to cause any problems / functionality issues?

Any advice much appreciated.

Don't see why not as long as everything is fixed well - no flexure.

No different to using an off axis guider which would be at 90 degrees to the  main focal path in a refractor... 

Give it a go and report back how it performed
