Solar Sunspot 2886 and 2887 (23rd Oct 2021) Western Australia

Solar Sunspot AR2886 (bottom left) and Solar Sunspot group AR2887 (top right edge) with a possible developing sunspot (circled red) that SolarHam uploaded imagery hadn't picked up on, Saturday the 23rd October. It was only a pore at the time that developed in to nothing and disappeared.

The seeing conditions were average from the Mandurah area Western Australia.

The new active region looks huge, will be interesting to see it rotate around.  Lovely detail visible in those images.

Thanks Pete. Yes the new active region is looking good plus there's another new sunspot coming around from the edge plus some very small features here and there. Good for white light filter observing and imaging. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow to capture more and then possibly Saturday if it's clear, we've had rain here and there's some cloud about, fingers crossed for clear skies.
