First Light 2009 - Venus Narrowband

Seems like an eternity since I've been able to do any imaging, combination of factors, but finally got out last night (later scuppered by thin cloud and a need for a dew solution for a new scope), but managed to get Venus at F28 in narrowband using a combination of the IR 742 filter, Baader CaK filter and a CLS white light filter. Not much (as seems evident from other images by the like of Bruce Kingsley) of much in the way of cloud detail, subtle whispy stuff at best, and that's with quite agressive processing. This shot, no processing at all.. Stacked in Resgitax, one wavelet (6) tweaked a fraction, and then colour combined in Maxim DL..that's all..

Lumenera Skynyx 2-0m on a Skywatcher 190-MN at F28 using a 5X powermate.

No advantage... I just have one at the mo.. :-)

Nice optics...that's all I can say for now...very nice optics...

When I get to use the wonderful drain covers on my refractors, I will post up... again huge thanks for those :-)
