Adding monitor to laptop

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone I’ve got a acer aspire 5 with decent specs eg, i7 8gb ram etc but the thing that lets it down is it’s screen especially for processing in photoshop as I’ve read it only shows around 60% of sRGB

so is it possible to hook a monitor to the laptop that shows over 90% of sRGB to help with processing images giving me better colour control? Or would the laptop just show the same through the added monitor even though the monitor would have better specs?

Yes getting yourself a monitor is a great idea. I have a lenovo thinkpad which has am awful screen. I hook it up to a cheap 23" monitor i nabbed from work and the difference between images process using the monitor and those using the laptop screen is huge.
