17.05.2021 Bit of a prom at 4 o'clock SW limb.

Unexpected sunshine but the westerly wind is making the telescopes wobble.
Lots of disturbance around the AR. Horribly over-sharpened for detail.
Nice, smokey prom at 4 o'clock on the SW corner.

Ignore the wrong date on the images!

Excellent  pics, I had some breaks amongst angry clouds and heavy rain from 11.15 to 12.00.  Observing with a PST, some nice detail amongst the scudding cloud, including your prom.

About 9 proms, 3 active areas and 4 filaments in rather indifferent seeing 🙂.

Nice, but are you forecasting a prom in 10 days? 😉

Dogh!

There's nothing quite like carving one's mistakes, multiple times, in stone, is there?
I tums not wrote wrung, I tums not wrote wrung, I tums not wrote wrung, etc. :rolleyes2:
The sort of multiple, own goals usually reserved for the junior, amateur league's best YouTube moments in sport.
Sadly there seems to be no way to edit a post once I have clomped across the still wet concrete in my size 11s.
Were I a dinosaur [close, but no cigar] I would probably leave tracks with my front feet on backwards.
To the delight of every palaeontology student for evermore.

Thanks Paul. "Your" rain arrived here just as I was waiting for the better seeing towards local sunset.
The seeing was soft. So all my surface images were coarse and without much realism.
I used my PST BF for the prom. It usually seems to do a better job than the Lunt B1200S2.
The reverse is usually true on surface detail.
