NGC 2903, Barred Spiral Galaxy.

This nice looking galaxy is in the constellation of Leo,  about 30 million light years away.

I spotted it on one of the forums and thought I'd give it a go myself.

Imaged over 2 nights because of clouds.

48 x 300s, with darks, flats and dark flats. Total exposure time 4 hours.

C11 at 1700mm, ASI294MC Pro and Optolong L-Pro filter.

Thanks for looking!

Tony

Thanks Dave!

Yes, Leo is getting lower in the sky. Not much time now before it's gone until next year.

Thats come out really well, lots of detail.

Thank you!

The C11 does a good job at picking out these smaller galaxies.
