Milky Way from Bortle 5 zone

Recommended Posts

This is my first time observing and taking pictures of the Milky Way. In Bortle 5 zone, the Milky Way appears as a faint smudge of clouds. It is located at the southern side of the sky, near the constellation of Scorpius and Sagittarius.

Equipment: Huawei P40 Pro on tripod

ISO: 500

Exposure: 30s

Time: 6:00 a.m.

Location: Perak, Malaysia

@PeterStudz it was totally unexpected. I woke up that morning and was surprised to see many stars. Then I noticed the faint fuzzy Grey cloud band beside the constellation Scorpius and was thinking, hmm... could it be the Milky Way? Then I rushed off to grab my phone to check out in Stellarium, and heck yes, it's the Milky Way! Can't tell how excited I really was!
