Looks neat, but I don't see the exact purpose of the cushioned dovetail. Is it a handle to carry the scope or something else ?

Hi.Yes,is to carry the scope and is,for mi,the most useful mod i did to the scope.Is very handy when i want to mount the ota on the gem.

Hi.Ive been using the powermate 5x with the SW 8" newt and the good news is for planetary photografy,-its a marriage made in heaven.Saturn apear huge and well defined but i think for the best results very good seeing and dark sky would help to get a very good shot.What are the targets the IR/UV BAADER should be used?
