SV Bony UHC filter

Recommended Posts

I think this UHC is mainly for visual use, so I'd be surprised if it blocked IR.

It might be a bit far-fetched, but perhaps you can test it yourself. TV remotes use IR light to control the TV, at around 900-950nm I think. I noticed some years ago that my smartphone's camera could see a light going on and off when my dad was using the remote :)

So if the filter doesn't block IR, you should be able to see a light when pressing a button on your TV remote control. If you don't, then the filter most likely blocks IR. Provided of course you have a TV, and your camera is sensitive to these wavelengths :)
