ASI 294MC, UV/IR cut filter required?

I couldn't find anything which said the ASI294MC was fitted with a UV/IR cut filter so I fitted one to mine. Like you, I don't use any other filters as I'm in  Bortle 2 area.

I only had a couple of sessions without the filter and and thought the stars looked bloated, so got the filter. Now it's fitted and I've got more used to the camera and processing the images, I can't say I really notice the difference between them and may take it off for a few sessions to see if I can actually see any difference.

So I would try without to start with and only get one if you think it needs it.

I'd be interested in others thoughts who have had the ASI294MC longer than the couple of months I've had mine. ;)
