Skywatcher 1145p accessories/moon filter

Recommended Posts

Hello to all and hoping you all had a fab Christmas.

I am brand new to telescopes and I need a bit of help with moon filters. I have purchased (and am waiting for) a skywatcher 1145p. Which moon filter would fit this. Is there a specific make/type for this model telescope?

many thanks in advance.

You just need a filter that fits onto your eyepiece.

The variable polarising filter is the most useful as it lets you adjust the brightness. A standard neutral density moon filter is cheaper but of course can’t be adjusted if you find it a bit too light or dark.
