DWood
We have a Celestron power seeker 127eq that we don't much like. I am thinking of changing the mirrors to parabolic and removing the corrective lens. On top of that I was thinking to get a collapsible front part for the secondary mirror mount. To increase the focal length. What is that piece called and can you buy it independent? Edited December 26, 2020 by DWood
Cornelius Varley
I think it might be easier/cheaper to buy a Skywatcher Heritage 130P
DWood
But that's not as fun.
DWood
Nothing. I've searched all around
John
This website does actually sell parts of scopes including the top piece you pictured and more besides: https://www.astroboot.co.uk/AstroBoot They are based in Europe though and I've no idea if they will ship to the USA. You would need to work out what suited your purpose and how to actually make the modifications to your scope - the supplier would not take any responsibility for that.
