Do we ever learn?

I dabbled in DSO astrophotography about 15 years ago.  A 150mm, f8 refractor...soon tired of the setup and dismantling of a heavy and unwieldy solution (also, just managed carp results...).  Retreated to widefield DSLR nightscapes, timelaspes and stuff.

Now, a permantent setup in the newly minted Yorkshire Dales Dark Sky Reserve  :)  Managed a few minutes of clear on Saturday for first light.

25 x 60s RASA8 (yes, another) and ASI2600MC.  Lacerta MGEN 3 guiding.  All on iOptron CEM40.  Processing in Deep Sky Stacker and Photoshop.

Looking forward to more clear nights and improvements.

Best wishes, Paul.

P.S.  the second run of the evening was 60 mins of an out of focus M45...
