Celestron CG5 Motor drive

Recommended Posts

Hi

Yes you can , i have used one on my CG5.

To be honest , i am not sure whether there is any difference between the two.

If you have not already purchased the dual axis drive , Adam Hinds is selling the Celestron drives at a very reasonable price.

regards

Graham

just fitted this last night was a breeze to fit. One question though, when fitting the DEC motor on the instructions the motor is mounted on the other side to where mine is. I assume the head is just twisted round 180 degrees to mine. Does this matter? As i stand to the front of the scope the motor mount was on the left side but on the drawings its on the right side. So i had to turn the dec round to make it match the drawing. Is this ok.

I assume the worm gear has quiet a travel so would do several revolutions
