CLS filter and star colour

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I’m using a SVBONY cls filter on an astromodded EOS600D. I took some images of M27 the other night and even with calibration frames, I have massive issues with colour balance, particularly most of the stars which appear abnormally red. Does anyone have similar issues and tips how to balance it all out?

What processing software do you use ?

One thing to try is matching the brightness of each colour band, in Pixinsight you can do it with Linear Stretch. In photoshop I'm not sure but you can probably manually stretch each colour so that the histograms match. Once done then you can combine channels.
