My first moon pic - FREEHAND

Just thought i would upload my very first moon pic.

Using a 200P Dobsonian i have owned for a few weeks, and a Fuji finepixS5500

Took this a couple of weeks ago freehand, just held it up against lens and clicked.

I was shocked at the result.

I'm still at the phase of taking pictures "afocally" (placing camera directly against the eyepiece).

I use one of these:-

This holds the camera very steady and (providing you have your exposure/shutter speed set OK) will get you a good photo of the Moon or planets.

The more photos you take the more you will improve!
