Red light has other benefits!!

Thanks Peter for posting this one.

So we aid our night vision by staring into a red led torch for a while.

It would be interesting to hear how critical the 670nM wavelength is. Many red leds are a little shorter.

I wonder how long the benefits last?

It would also be interesting to hear the results of testing on more than a couple of dozen people.
A small sample can give misleading results.

Thanks for posting. David.

It’s very early stage, they tried it after they had some interesting animal results. They outline a number of questions for further study in the paper, wavelength, time of day.... lots to look into. This sort of sample never gets large samples as doing the faint flicker lights in the dark is not everyone’s idea of fun.
