Setup help

Hi all! 

I'm looking for advice on how to connect the SW Star Adventurer mount to a small basic tripod. 

I have a tripod from my old celestron 76EQ telescope. But the screw from the tripod adapator does not protrude far enough upwards to attach to the star adventurer mount (whose base is flat) - essentially need a longer screw adaptor? 

Any ideas/cheap solutions?

what I do know is that the tripod screw adaptor does fit onto the SW mount - if I attached them together without the tripod in between

Or anyone know where I can get a 3/8" Tripod screw connector?

Is it the 3/8-20 bushing which accepts a 1/4-20 threaded bolt that you need?
