My first shot at M61 over in Virgo to capture supernova 2020jfo using my 150mm refractor last night. I just managed to capture 10 reasonably good luminance 600s subs with some light cloud over in the south. The Type II supernova was discovered by the Zwicky Transient Facility on the 6th May, only 2 days previously. Current magnitude is approx 14.5.

The frame also clearly shows neighbouring galaxies NGC4301 and NGC4292, whilst there are a couple of mag 17 PGC members in the background.

CS, Andy
