Skywatcher Syntrek with az-gti

Hi, I have had the opportunity to buy a Skywatcher Syntrek controller with the intention of testing it on an Az-gti.
It could cause damage to the mount, can someone tell me if it is compatible with the correct cable?

The Syntrek handset was supplied with the Syntrek versions of the HEQ5 and EQ6 Synscan mounts. The AZ-GTi is an alt az mount so I doubt the handset is compatible with the mount.
