secondary mirror recoating.

I'm thinking of cleaning my mirror in the not too distant future.Should this prove a waste of time, I will obviously have to have it recoated.

I have read quite a bit on the subject but nowhere does it mention having the secondary recoated at the same time.Is this normal practice or is it a case of making do or buying a new secondary ?

Depending on size, re-coating a diagonal costs only about a fiver, against about 40 quid for a new one.

Give it a go I did my 16in mirror and it is no big deal. the secondary should not need doing because it faces down and should not pick up much crud.
