Any one out there used this ep in a mak180.

I've used the original mushroom top ES-82 in my 127 Mak (f/12).  It worked fine with no discernible vignetting.  I'm sure it would work fine in a Mak180 because it has a larger rear baffle than the 127 Mak.  f/12 is pretty gentle on eyepieces as well.
