Two images for you today. My processing certainly isn't perfect, but I'm definitely improving. One image is standard SHO, the second is a slight modification of HOO using Pixel Math (Ha; .65O+.35Ha; .8O+.2Ha).

Standard details:
ZWO ASI183MM Pro
ZWO EFW with ZWO Ha, SII, and OIII filters
William Optics Redcat 51
iOptron CEM40EC (unguided)
20x180s each filter
Darks, flats and dark flats for calibration
Processed in PixInsight with final touch-ups in Photoshop

Enjoy!

Nice Images. You say the processing is not perfect but I would be more than happy if I produced something like those 🙂

Thanks! I'm definitely happy with them considering where I was in my astrophotography skills only a year ago. I just meant I'm still learning and figuring things out and I'm sure they can be improved by someone more skilled than I. I still haven't quite figured out how to do everything in PixInsight and have to do a few final things in Photoshop. And I'm sure I'm missing some workflow steps in PixInsight that could make them look even better.

I certainly am with you in that one. Whilst I am improving with Pixinsight I always have to follow some instructions, if I did not I would miss something for sure. And there are so many process I have not even tried yet. I wonder if anyone actually realises what has to be done after obtaining the data when they first get into AP?  I did read up when contemplating getting into imaging, and realised a little of what was necessary, but until I started actually processing the data did not realise what was really involved. Anyway there is no easy way to bypass all this if you aspire to obtain images like we see on this forum and you are certainly well on the way to that goal. 🙂
