LDN 1235

Friday night was clear, yey. Friday night there was no moon, yey. So Friday night I went with a friend on the hills of South Downs National Park to shoot some stars under the nice bortle 4 skies. I always wanted to shoot some dark nebulae and I found that LDN 1235 was just right for my setup so I made it the main target for the night.

I'm quite please with how it came out even though longer integration time would do it more justice.

I used my travel setup, the EQ3 with the TS65Q and ASI294MC Pro cooled at -15C

I shot 67x180sec at Gain 200 and Offset 30

Nice shot Emil 👍 .. how do you find the TS 65Q ..  I brought a new secondhand one a few months back and not used it yet ..

Thanks Brian. The TS65Q is an absolute gem of a telescope for its price. I had mine for 2 years and I love it. So far I only used it with a dslr and only recently I started using a cooled camera with it.

Here's a photo of M33 shot with it and a canon 600D

Cracking shot 😁I will be using mine with one of my QSI cameras , according to the charts will give slight undersampling but great for wide field , which is exactly what I was looking for ..  . The scope did get some bad press on first release I think , but I believe later versions were rectified..   and the proof is in your pics 😊
