Computer controlled DPDT switch

HI all you Arduino, Raspberry Pi and general computer experts out there. What is the easiest way to create a computer controlled DPDT changeover switch for 12V at a couple of amps? I can see lots of boards with 1 - 4 SPDT relays that can be digitally driven, but not DPDT. Am I looking in the wrong place?

DO you know if such a thing is available as a module ready for digital control?

Depends on how complicated \ au fait you are with electronic control systems, but there is always the Vellman boards e.g. http://www.velleman.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p188_vm8090.html

Can you not use 2 of the SPDT relays together?

exactly, just drive two channels together, i.e. 2 SPDT become 1 DPDT

Revealing my ignorance here. Is there a risk of accidentally not switching both at the same time? I’ll have to do a logic table to see if there is a damaging outcome. Mobile at the moment and can’t visualise in my head 😉
