I just picked up an old jan 2007 copy of astronomy now and couldnt help but notice the prices.

Much as we sometimes complain, I do think prices in general have come down.

A couple of noteworthy ones where:

Celestron ED80 then - £475, now £215

Celestron C6s OTA only then £599 now with CG5/CG5 RGT around £349-£449

It also seems the "economic downturn" is affecting second hand prices as well, it really is a buyers market at present for any that still have some spare cash ..

Agree , you have to price things very competitvely to sell them at the moment.

There are some very good bargains to be had
