M101 12hrs data Gonzo style

Hello 

This is my version of M101 and some friends.  The data has being collected over past 3 months and is heavily cropped

Telescope - 102mm APO ES refractor on a AVX mount

Camera- Canon 70d unmoded iso800 with a IDAS-D2 filter.  

Duration 12 hours - 300s lights., Darks, flats and bias frames also taken

Guided with PHD2 and processed in PS

There is so much detail in there!  That's a great job.  Have you tried using the Canon Raw Filter in PS, and then the colour noise slider - if you move it up to 20-25 it should remove some of the colour noise in the background!

Thanks, i havent tried it. Will give it ago later today. I had to heavily crop image due to calibration issues. The data was combinations of work from Feb to May

1) Colour noise reduction

2) Colour noise reduction and Gradient Xterminator to balance background colour
