Has anyone before requested seperate threads for the different equipment we use? I. E. Daystar/lunt etc.  on other forums I use, it works better if,  in boards like this, that separate threads are used for each manufacturer, as there is few of them it's then easier to find the relevant information if it's all under one roof so to speak

.Do you agree? Or has it been tried and not found to work?

I've been a member of other forums where creating separate sections for different scope types and even brands has created silos and the forums have suffered as a result in my opinion.

We have discussed this a number of times within the admins / moderators group and each time we concluded that the current system works well for the Stargazers Lounge so we have stuck with it

Thanks, that's the feedback that helps me to undetstand how a particular forum is working.

It would be helpful if there were automatic links to other manufacturers products being discussed. I spend a lot of time just browsing through the list before I hit upon info I find of interest or relevant to my questions.

Or perhaps i just haven't learnt to navigate quickly.
