M89 & M90 with Esprit 150

This is the results of last night's galaxy hunt. Only just over 4 hours of data but that is about the length of astrodarkness up here now. The moon was up but did not cause terrible trouble.

I was first a bit dissapointed about the lack of structures in the arms of M90, but after looking at other images of this galaxy I realize that it has very smooth arms, with most of the structure found near the core.

Of course there are many more galaxies in there. The two to the left are NGC 4550 and 4551. There is also a tight "gin group" of galaxies next to  M90 called IC3583. Not sure what a "gin group" means but I assume someone knows.

Done with the Esprit 150 and ASI 071 (OSC) on the Mesu 200. 50 x 5 min at gain 200, offset 30, -15°C

I cropped away some of the top and bottom to get a bit of panorama feel.
