First Galaxy image M81 & M82

Nice round stars -- focus a little soft, maybe? I bet you could stretch more out of those data if you hauled on the slider hard enough.

I like it. The stars are a little red,but the great thing is it's got DEPTH.  The galaxies actually look like they are much further away than the stars.

I agree with SR, if you could isolate M82 and then tone down the overall red and bump up the blue it would do nicely for M81, but still a very appealing image as it is.

Thanks for the advice I will have a bash later but still finding my way round Startools and no PS just Gimp for the time being.

I have had a play and taken all advice so hopefully a better image.
