M51 mono and colour mix

Mix of Atik 314L mono and colour cameras. Not as sharp as I would have liked but pleased with all the faint surrounding galaxies. Scope was an ED120 on HEQ 5

Looks to me like somehow the red got lost through your processing?

Fair comment. I struggled to find much red in there. Would the LP filter pull the red down ?

Looking at your images histogram i can see that there is some red way to the left and not aligned with the red and blue channels.
RGB channels should be pretty much aligned so you definitely need to do some adjustment
