what about this?

Its AZ and the mount is rock solid. I owned and loved both the CPC800 & CPC925. If you have not yet purchased the tube then the price is very appealing too :)

Another one @ down south prices!

Hi Alan

Thanks for these. When you had the 9.25, how did it fare on objects like the pup and ef stars in the trapezium?

Cheers

(1) Typo above. I have owned CPC800 and CPC1100 (Not CPC925 as incorrectly stated above). I went for the 1100 as it is only slightly heavier and larger than the 925 so I skipped the 925 (it is also only slightly more aperture than the CPC800). Definately try to go see the CPC1100 and the CPC925 side by side. The 1100 is not much bigger and Celestron have placed the carrying handles to make carrying them easy, it was just the lift up off the floor that was the killer with the 1100, so I purchased a second separate tripod and left it mounted in the garage - that way I never had to lift it up off the floor. I sold my CPC800 for £900 and my CPC1100 for £1650 so the big boys are great value second hand. Just make sure you get the newer version with fastar on the front to make sure its not too old. The CPCs work well with StarSense too if you dont want to be bothered with alignment - it was great to finish carrying stuff outside to find the scope setup, aligned and ready to GO!

(2) E & F seen easily. I never saw the Pup, Sirius was never well placed from my Garden and double stars were never really my thing.
