Wiu-Wiu
Finally managed to capture (and process) this comet; at discovery it was still too low, and then clouds rolled in for almost 2 months. Imaged with 127mm apo, Asi 071mc pro, guiding and capturing with asiair on IEQ45pro from Bortle 6-7 subs: 30s gain 150 temp -10°C feb 14: without LP Filter feb 15: with IDAS LPS-D1
Davey-T
Good catch, been waiting for the Moon to clear off to have another go at it before it gets too dim. Dave
Wiu-Wiu
Thanks; It has only been clear around both last full moons, so I had no choice than to catch it on a 70-80% moon. The comet is supposed to slow down too, so imaging won't be such a challenge - 30s was still a bit too long at this speed. I really want to try and get a hint of a tail on a comet some day. Last 2 years of comets were all round puffy balls
