Lightweight setup

Hey guys, 

I have couple of questions regarding my future setup, and I wanna hear some opinions. As I'm planning to go to Chile for the eclipse I got skywatcher SAM (I'd go with regular adventurer but I had the opportunity to get this one for a great price) and in Chile I'll be using it with dslr but I thought that at home I could use it with my ASI1600mm as a widefield setup with dslr lenses and here comes my questions. Does any of you have experience with the image quality of this camera when it's uncooled? And the second question, even though I'm planning on getting Samyang 135/2 in the future, do you think it would be possible to squeeze decent quality out of the canon ef 75-300mm? I mean theoretically there would be no chromatic aberration while using nb filter right?
