29.01.19 Solar teaser!

Recommended Posts

As son as I was in the observatory it clouded over and then teased with short clearances for the next couple of hours.

Small dark spot at 3.00 very near the eastern limb. A much smaller spot further inboard.

The larger spot had paler extensions N-S like grey wings in white light.

In H-a the dark spot was confirmed. Surrounded by a pale patch, with darker areas. All of which firmed up as the seeing improved.

I'm missing my binoviewers which make solar viewing in H-a so much easier. No floaters!

The dealer has received them and will get back to me.
