M45 More data added

Recommended Posts

Managed to add some more data to my M45 tonight between some very annoying clouds.

I was hoping to add a lot more data to my IC434 (Horses Head) but at the moment its behind houses until around 1030pm and then it was typical cloud cover for most of the sky.

Anyway never mind at least I got something.

This is 10 x 10 minute exposures taken through my SW200P with :-

Orion Starshoot Autoguider using PHD2

QHY8L cooled to -20 degrees using Ezcap software.

Flats, Darks, Bias added in DSS

Processed the best I can manage so far with my little but growing knowledge of Photoshop.

I think it came out ok????

I agree it came out really well. I love your stars Stu. There looks like there is some background gradients/vignetting that could be tweaked a bit

yeah they were a lot worse, I think its the street lights on the main road which unfortunately is where it was pointing tonight.

I had a quick go with Gradient Xterminator but not to good.

Heres the stacked TIF file from DSS if you want a shot feel free. ?

Nice Pleiades, Stu.

I processed your tif in PixInsight, and also struggled with the gradient. According to DBE results, it's mainly vignetting. Are your flats working OK?

Anyway, here's my attempt with PixInsight.
