Close encounter: Moon and earthshine, Jupiter and a UFO

Saw the moon poking through the trees from inside, so I rushed out with the camera, tripod and telephoto lens, just in time to catch them having an evening stroll in the woods. I was quite taken aback by the beauty of the sight. Looking through the pics afterwards I noticed this trail that goes from right to left over about one minute. Plane? Satellite? I don't know... Heavens Above doesn't have any convincing suggestions...

Anyway, here's the shot:

camera: Sony Alpha-300 with 75-300mm Minolta AF lens at 120mm

exposure: 2 seconds at f/11

captured: moon, earthshine, Jupiter, Ganymede, omicron Sag, xi Sag, further stars down to ~mag 6.0

It's there, and very nice too Andrew. Looks like a satellite trail. Disappeared into earths shadow?

Contrail? perhaps.

Well, it went right through the frame over 4 shots over about a minute. This particular picture captures it about half way through it's journey across the frame.
