Fixing Coma Corrector tilt

Recommended Posts

Posting this here as it is related to imaging.

I got a bit tired of holding my coma corrector tightly to the focuser whilst doing up screws, so I came up with the following:

Got the Skywatcher focuser adapter and turned a thread on it - first pic

Then made a female adapter to screw on to it - pic 2

Fit the coma corrector to first part - pic 3

Tighten female clamp - pic 4

The coma corrector is now perfectly clamped to the focuser, and I didn't have to spend money on a new focuser - I know I'm lucky to have a small hobby lathe though.....

Hope it helps someone

cheers

Gary
